More About Me

Having grown up on Whidbey Island I have a passion for this magical place. After high school I left the island for college and career, met my wife, and we raised our kids together. Over the years we brought our kids to the island to play and get away, but the island kept calling me. We moved back permanently as empty-nesters and bought our dream cottage at Deer Lake.

When I was a boy, my first “job” was tying up boats on the Coupeville dock for a dollar, and I happily spent my earnings on candy at the gas station on Coveland Street. My childhood was filled with riding my bike all over Fort Casey, fishing with mussels as bait in Penn Cove (which is why I still can’t eat them), and swimming in Penn Cove’s cold water. I was known in little league as The Coupeville Flash because I was fast around the bases or at least someone’s grandpa thought I was and called me that from the stands and it stuck. It was something my eight-year-old self was very proud of!

I continued playing sports until I graduated from Oak Harbor High School. Family movie night was at The Blue Fox Drive-In in the back of my parents’ station wagon, and OHHS Friday Night Football was the best night of the week. Whidbey was my playground then and it still is.

My goal, whether you’re buying or selling property, is to help you through the process with ease and as little stress as possible. Getting to know you, understanding your lifestyle, your wants and needs begins by hearing your Whidbey story or your Whidbey dream. You can expect excellence, a vast knowledge of Whidbey Island, professional service and focused attention along the real estate path as we work together.
